The project "New skills
for new employment" was realized with the aim to contribute to new jobs
creation and to preserve existing jobs in the Brod Posavina County,
and
to improve knowledge and skills of the workforce in the area of new
technologies and effectivejob search, considering the market needs and
trends, and in accordance to regional business needs and requirements.
The
project implementation has established a partnership and business
cooperation of relevant labor market institutions: Croatian
Employment Service, Industrial school Nova Gradiška, CroatianChamber of
Economy, Croatian Chamber of Trade and Crafts,
the City of Nova Gradiška and Brod Posavina County.
Partnership
activities have
included analysis of existing labor
market, monitoring of changesin the labor market, informing activities
of target groups, and coordination measures of the active employment
policy.
Within the
project, in order to improve existing and develop new knowledge and
skills in the area of new technologies, the following training programs
were carried out:
- CNC
metal processing - 120 hours - 30 participants
- CNC
programming - 120 hours - 10 participants
- Training
in measurement techniques - 120 hours - 10 participants
- IT
- ECDL basic program - 240 hours - 12 participants
- Training
in techniques of effective job search – activities of job club – 20 participants
Participants of mentioned programs have acquired new
knowledge and skills in the field of CNC technology and IT, by working on
high-end machines, measuring equipment and computers, and thus, they have significantly
increased the opportunity for employment and progression on current work.
The project realization has also enabled the
establishment of the Job Club Service, within which training sessions for
unemployed candidates were held in the form of workshops; actively job search, strengthen
the confidence, making a career development plan, and active support in job
search was provided to participants.
The project was
realized within the pre-accession fund IPA IV: Operational Programme for Human Resources Development -
Local Partnership for Employment – Phase 3, with the cooperation of the INDUSTRIAL
PARK NOVA GRADIŠKA Ltd. and partners institutions: Croatian Employment Service,
Industrial School Nova Gradiška, Croatian Chamber of Trade and Crafts, Croatian Chamber of
Economy, the City of Nova Gradiška and Brod Posavina
County.
The total project costs amount € 130,593.51
The final conference was held on 23 January
2012, at 13:00 hours with the participation of representatives of the partners
and trainees.
